Zeroth Launches Bridge Humanoid Robot and OpenBridge Open-Source Ecosystem for Developers

Zeroth has launched Bridge, an 88-centimeter AI-native humanoid robot with open SDKs and motion-control APIs, alongside OpenBridge, a fully open-source ecosystem with a shared Skill Hub, targeting developers who want to build and share robot capabilities across a community platform.

Zeroth has launched Bridge, an 88-centimeter AI-native humanoid robot designed for developer use, alongside OpenBridge, a fully open-source ecosystem for embodied intelligence development. The first batch of Bridge Geek Edition units is available for global booking starting September 2 through zeroth-openbridge.com. Zeroth has also launched a Bridge Builder Program inviting 500 developers to participate in OpenBridge ecosystem co-creation, with the top 200 receiving complimentary access to the robot.

The Suzhou-based company, founded in 2024, is positioning Bridge and OpenBridge together as an Android-style open platform for robotics – a system where robot capabilities are defined not only by the manufacturer but by the global developer community.

The Bridge Robot

Bridge stands 88 centimeters tall and weighs approximately 13 kilograms, with 30 to 40 centimeter arms and two-finger grippers. The compact, desktop-friendly design is optimized for size and weight while maintaining a full humanoid form. Out of the box the robot supports stable bipedal walking, intelligent obstacle avoidance, and a library of natural movement and choreography capabilities.

Unlike pre-programmed robots limited to fixed sequences, Bridge is designed as a fully AI-native platform: its hardware, motion stack, and developer interfaces are purpose-built for real-world deployment and flexible physical interaction. Developers receive full access to underlying SDKs, open motion-control APIs, and motion capture and VR integration for custom algorithm deployment, scenario-based tuning, and personalized skill creation.

The OpenBridge Ecosystem

OpenBridge is the platform layer that connects Bridge to a broader developer community. A shared Skill Hub allows developers to contribute and share robot capabilities that others can download and build upon – the same model that Unitree introduced with its UniStore and NORI Robotics used for its Skill Hub marketplace, but positioned as a fully open-source community standard rather than a proprietary app store.

Unified development tools and shared training resources support the ecosystem, with the goal of creating a network effect in which each developer’s contribution increases the utility of the platform for all other users. “Android changed who could define what a smartphone could do. OpenBridge aims to explore a similar possibility for robots,” Zeroth said.

The Builder Program

The Bridge Builder Program’s first phase selects 500 developers: the top 200 receive complimentary Bridge access and full OpenBridge ecosystem participation, while the remaining 300 receive priority purchase access, SDK access, and eligibility for subsequent program phases. Applications are open through zeroth-openbridge.com.

The program is designed to convert OpenBridge from a technical architecture into a community with real developer participation before the platform reaches critical mass – seeding the Skill Hub with early contributions and establishing development patterns that subsequent users can follow.
