NEURA Robotics is acquiring the ACTIVE Shuttle automated guided vehicle from Bosch Rexroth, effective October 1, 2026. The acquisition expands the portfolio of NEURA Mobile Robots GmbH – the NEURA Group subsidiary focused on autonomous intralogistics and automated guided vehicles – and adds a commercially proven industrial transport platform to NEURA’s Physical AI ecosystem alongside its humanoid, mobile, and industrial robot products.

The ACTIVE Shuttle has been deployed across numerous industrial facilities for automated material transport, covering assembly workstation supply and small load carrier movement in production and logistics environments. NEURA Mobile Robots is taking over both hardware and software, and will continue providing service to existing customers. Bosch Rexroth and NEURA prepared the transition together to ensure continuity for current ACTIVE Shuttle operators.

Integration Into the NEURA Ecosystem

NEURA plans to develop the ACTIVE Shuttle in stages, extending it with AI functionality and interfaces to the NEURA Group’s broader technology stack. Proven components including the ACTIVE Fleet Manager and ROKIT navigation software are retained as part of the solution. Over time, these navigation and fleet management tools are intended to become accessible through the Neuraverse – NEURA’s open skill-sharing platform for robotics – making them available for use across other NEURA robotic systems.

The acquisition reflects NEURA’s overarching physical AI strategy: connecting different robot types – mobile platforms, industrial arms, and humanoids – on a shared infrastructure where robots can perceive, navigate, learn, and work together. “Our goal is an open ecosystem in which mobile robots, industrial robots, and humanoids can work together on a shared infrastructure,” said David Reger, Founder and CEO of NEURA Robotics. “That is exactly where I see the future of robotics.”

The Strategic Rationale

The ACTIVE Shuttle acquisition gives NEURA a commercial intralogistics product with an established customer base and proven field performance – a foundation for its logistics vertical that would take years to build from scratch. For Bosch Rexroth, divesting the ACTIVE Shuttle to NEURA places the platform in a company whose strategy is built around physical AI infrastructure, with more investment capacity for the product’s AI-layer development than a diversified industrial automation conglomerate can allocate.

For NEURA, the acquisition comes at a time when the company has the capital to execute strategic moves, having closed a Series C round of up to $1.4 billion led by Tether in June 2026. Expanding the mobile robot portfolio before the humanoid product line scales commercially diversifies the revenue base and provides deployment environments where NEURA can collect real-world operational data.

NEURA Mobile Robots, headquartered in Hamburg with sites in Reutlingen, Milan, Prague, and Buckingham, employs more than 300 people developing AGV solutions across Europe under the established ek robotics brand. The ACTIVE Shuttle expands that portfolio with a Bosch Rexroth-origin platform designed for the same industrial intralogistics environments ek robotics serves.
