HomeGlossaryGoods to Person

Goods to Person

Goods to person is a warehouse automation approach where products are automatically delivered to human workers instead of workers walking to storage locations. Systems such as robots, conveyors, and automated storage units bring items directly to picking or packing stations. This model significantly reduces walking time, increases picking speed, and improves accuracy. Goods to person solutions are widely used in e-commerce, fulfillment centers, and high-volume warehouses. They are especially effective in operations where speed, efficiency, and labor optimization are critical.
