Faraday Future and FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem have introduced FF Nova, a compact humanoid priced at $2,490 for developers and educational institutions. The companies’ launch announcement prices an additional Developer Skills Package at $390, bringing the combined listed cost to $2,880.
The product specifications describe a 49.7-centimeter robot weighing 2.8 kilograms, with 20 degrees of freedom. Nova combines bipedal walking with a detachable wheeled base and includes lidar, a camera, depth sensing and a microphone array.
Initial access is invitation-only and limited to 100 units. The companies say the first 20 are available for immediate delivery, followed by broader developer and educational access and, later, a consumer launch. Dates for those wider phases were not disclosed.
The development platform supports reinforcement learning, simulation and transfer of trained policies to physical hardware. For schools and researchers, that makes software access and repeatable experiments as important as the headline robot price; purchasing a body alone does not establish what a course can reliably teach.
Nova follows other efforts to lower the cost of hands-on robotics, including the Microduck platform. The products have different hardware and software offerings, so buyers should compare the complete learning setup rather than treating their device prices as equivalent packages.
