LimX Dynamics has unveiled TRON 2, a modular embodied AI robot designed to support rapid reconfiguration across different mobility and manipulation modes. The platform can transition between a dual-arm biped, a wheeled-leg system, and a sole-feet biped, allowing developers to adapt the same robot to varied research and application requirements.

TRON 2 is built on a modular hardware architecture with seven-degree-of-freedom arms, a 70-centimeter reach, and up to 10 kilograms of dual-arm payload capacity. In wheeled-leg mode, the system supports payloads up to 30 kilograms and includes adaptive terrain control and auto-recharging. The platform integrates vision-based planning, active safety boundaries, redundant power systems, and low-latency teleoperation for controlled experimentation.

The robot is positioned as a full vision-language-action development platform, with an open SDK, ROS compatibility, and simulation support. By offering configurable hardware and an integrated software stack at research-accessible pricing, LimX is targeting laboratories developing embodied intelligence and general-purpose robotic behaviors.
